You won't see alot of hikers on this trail. It is classic desert and all you will hear is wind, and the occassional air traffic overhead. I tried to make it to the top as a day trip and could only make it to cowhead saddle. You have to be in good/great shape for this one. They say there is water at Manning camp, but make sure if you spend the night. I brought a gallon of water for the 16 mile round trip and ran out with 2 miles to go. If you want solitude, this is the hike for you. The key is water, water, water.
