Very popular trail. Need to start early in the morning since by 10AM it will look like the fifth ave. in New York. Best time in the fall for the colors. It is very easy and a paradise for the photographers
A very pleasant hike in the snow. It was Spring at departure, then after 1/4 mile or so Winter settled in. Many great views, with the canyon always looming over you. Fairly flat hike, some slippery parts because of the snow, but overall an easy hike. You have to cross the Oak Creek a number of times along the trail but rocks are always strategically placed to help you across. It is well worth going to the very end, i.e. when your only option is to go in the water to go on. Because of the snow it took us four hours roundtrip, taking our time.
