Twin Lakes lie in marshy terrain characterized by open meadows interspersed with timber. Although these lakes receive heavy usage, many camping areas are available, especially around South Twin Lake. However, springwater can only be found at North Twin. Horse pasture is present at either lake, but South Twin has more. During summer, angling usage remains steady, and fishing is usually good for brook and cutthroat trout. Two diff erent starting points can be used for reaching Twin Lakes. Blanchett Park is closer, but adventurers without a four-wheel-drive vehicle prefer the Paradise Park trailhead. On the other hand, Blanchett Park offers great campsites for day hikers making the trek to the Twin or Kibah Lakes.
