With a scenic drive in and access to numerous hiking trails, this pair of mountain lakes is an ideal choice if you seek a peaceful place to relax and set up a hiking base camp. The heavily wooded campground sits on the larger of the Lower Miner Lakes and offers views of the surrounding Beaverhead Mountains. There are two choices for camping, and the better one is the designated campground area on the main body of the lake. Sites are spacious, with plenty of trees, but there are enough openings that they are sunlit at least part of the day.
