Along this stretch of the Clearwater River is a chain of lakes nestled in the valley like a string of pearls, each having its own unique features and characteristics. Lake Alva is a gentle, wooded pearl where the campsites are divided between two loops, with a third loop on the lake reserved for groups. The sites are well spaced and among the most private to be found at a developed campground. Larch, fir, and alder trees anchor the screening between most sites. These trees buffer so well that even if a large RV is on the adjacent site, you probably won’t know it.
