The Lake Como National Recreation Trail serves as either a convenient loop or as the first leg of a longer backpack into the Rock Creek drainage. It's minimal profile, low elevation, and fine views of the Como Peaks make it a good candidate for earlyseason hiking in the Bitterroot foothills. You can hike the loop in either direction, but this description follows the trail in a counterclockwise circuit from the Lake Como Day Use Trailhead and parking area adjacent to the Upper Como Campground loop.
