When the first wagon train made its way through the canyon toward what is now Bozeman, frontiersman Jim Bridger was leading the way. The canyon, mountain range, and area trails now bear his name. Hiking in this area is delightful and scenic. The Bridger Bowl Ski Area takes advantage of the configuration of the sedimentary Bridger Mountains for its excellent ski slopes. This eTrail provides detailed information on family-friendly things to do. The destinations include: Bozeman Fish Technology Center, The "M" Trail, Fairy Lake and Campground, and Sacajawea Peak.
