The Big Creek Trail follows Big Creek to the west, providing access to a network of trails, lakes and mountain peaks. The trail heads six miles up to Windy Pass. This hike takes in the first two miles of the trail. The trail passes meadows, rock cliffs and talus slides. The trailhead is where the Big Creek Road originally crossed Big Creek. The bridge washed out, making this the end of the road and the new trailhead.
