Note the bridges over Mill Creek has been replaced and now suitable for horses or hikers. This trail get a lot of use. It is easy and beautiful from mid June to the fall. There is a bit of a hill at the end that take you to a point where horses have to be left before descending to the falls. On wet days this descent can be treacherous in a couple of spots. The walk down the falls is worth it. There is another trail that is off to the right on the descent that will take you to the top of the falls....again watch the pets and kids. This area remains damp due to the moisture. The falls during the melt cycle is one of the best. Not the drams of Pine Creek's double falls. Two stars for exercise, 5 for beauty and the reward at the end of the hike.
The trail is is thru mostly burnt trees, but the falls are simply spectacular. Very easy trail, the crux is getting across the river next to the parking lot...there is a sketchy log with a hand rail to use since the bridge was washed out tho.
