The trail to Crescent Lake is an easy meander through the forest to a small crescent-shaped lake. The return trail follows the shoreline of Hyalite Reservoir. This large recreational area is surrounded by picturesque mountains in every direction.

Crescent Lake was a bit disappointing as it had a significant amount of algae on it. Perhaps it is nicer in the spring before it gets too hot.
