The Kreis Pond area, two miles north of the historic Ninemile Ranger Station, is a great spot for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, and picnicking. More than 25 miles of multiuse trails in the Lolo National Forest can be accessed near the pond. This uncrowded trail includes views of the surrounding mountains as it loops through flower-filled meadows, an evergreen forest, valley grasslands, and small wetlands.
