The South Hills Trail System was developed by South Hills landowners, local volunteers, and the Missoula Parks and Recreation Department. The trails link the South Hills neighborhoods through greenbelt corridors, pedestrian easements, and parklands. The Moose Can Gully Trail winds through parkland meadows and climbs up Moose Can Gully, a forested ravine with ponderosa pines and a natural understory of riparian vegetation. Peery Park traverses open hillside prairie with great views of Missoula.
