The Southside Riverfront Trail is a wide, unpaved path that extends from McCormick Park to the University of Montana. The open space corridor was once the Old Milwaukee Railroad bed. The level path connects 26-acre McCormick Park to Clark Fork Natural Park, John Toole Park, the University of Montana River Bowl Park, and Jacob’s Island Park in the Clark Fork River. (On the east end of Jacob’s Island is an off-leash dog park called Bark Park.) Various side paths lead down to the river.
