Gardner Lake is a 24-acre tarn at the base of the Gardner Headwall. From the trailhead is a bird’s-eye view of the lake. The trail follows a portion of the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail through picturesque meadowlands, carved granite formations, and forested groves. The path leads to Losekamp Lake and Stockade Lake in a sloping meadow at the base of Tibbs Butte. This trail may also be hiked as a 6-mile shuttle to the Hauser Lake trailhead by Long Lake (Hike 40).

Gardner Lake is a 24-acre tarn at the base of the Gardner Headwall. From the trailhead is a bird’s-eye view of the lake. The trail follows a portion of the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail through picturesque meadowlands, carved granite formations, and forested groves.

The path leads to Losekamp Lake and Stockade Lake in a sloping meadow at the base of Tibbs Butte. This trail may also be hiked as a 6-mile shuttle to the Hauser Lake trailhead by Long Lake (Hike 40).
