Mystic Lake is the largest lake in the Beartooths, covering more than 430 acres. It is a natural lake with a hydro-electric dam at the east end. The hike to Mystic Lake follows the West Rosebud Trail uphill for 1,200 feet. The hike offers spectacular views of the West Rosebud Valley. From the top are beautiful views of Mystic Lake, West Rosebud Canyon, and the surrounding mountain peaks.
