The Moonlight Peak Trail offers a scenic though challenging route to reach the North Wall. The route is a bit sketchy as it leaves the Lick Creek Trail to ascend Moonlight Peak, but is quite easy to follow for the remainder of the distance to the North Wall Trail. This trail is poorly suited for pack trains, as it crosses a steep and unstable slope of loose dirt high on the shoulders of Moonlight Peak.
