This trail offers one of the fastest and easiest passages through the Front Ranges to reach the rugged inner peaks of the Scapegoat Wilderness. The trail stays in the valley bottom for a short distance, then crosses the creek again and climbs onto the high, grassy hilltop overlooking the east bank of the stream. This meadow allows excellent views of the surrounding foothills, as well as the low peaks at the head of the valley.
