This trail offers a rather rigorous side trip for travelers visiting Danaher Meadows. The trail offers a microcosm of the wilderness itself. From its beginnings in the Bar Creek Meadows, it climbs through verdant forests to reach the summit of an 8,000-foot peak with views in all directions. The highlight of the trail is a stunning view of Flint Mountain, truly one of the most inspiring peaks in the area. The last half of the trail is extremely steep and will probably cause problems for parties that attempt the trail on horseback.
