This trail provides a lengthy journey up Monture Creek, which heads at Hahn Pass. It is one of the lengthier trails running into the South Fork basin, but remains quite popular with stock parties because of its moderate grade and lack of mud, even in wet weather. The Monture Fire burned almost 24,000 acres at the head of Monture Creek in 2000, spilling over Hahn Pass.
