This faint track runs along the ridgetop to the south of Gordon Creek. It sticks to the high, open country of the ridgeline, and although the trail is often faint and sometimes even nonexistent, the route is easy to follow for hikers that are comfortable with cross-country travel. The trail is easiest to find from west to east; it peters out entirely between Kid and Fossil mountains and may be difficult to pick up again for travelers coming westward from Gordon Peak. The trail is quite distinct between its western end and the Cabin Creek Trail, and thus the western half of it easily can be accessed by hikers and horse parties.
