This hike will blow your mind. 360 views of some of the greatest natural creations. The Glacier is almost gone, so get there before they start calling it Grinnell Lake.

After taking the boats from Many Glacier Hotel, the trail (which had just opened for the season) shortly starts a series of climbs to frozen upper Grinnell Lake and Grinnel Glacier. There are beautiful vistas and a view of lower Grinnell Lake along most of the trail. Crossing under the waterfall was a bit of a thrill-but not as bad as it looked! Saw several Bighorn sheep that seemed to be enjoying the spectacle of hikers going through the falls. One of the snowfields was fairly challenging too, especially on the descent. The destination was not as spectacular as other alpine lakes I have seen, but it was nice to see one of the glaciers close-up before they're gone, and the scenery all along the way was incredible!
