Great hike except the driving directions and the map are a bit off. The turn onto Big Timber Canyon Rd. is accurate for distance from Big Timber but the road has a different name which I can not remember. A local rancher said the Big Timber Canyon Rd. sign got knocked down. Also the map does not show the trail cross the stream twice although the trail description does say that. The trail to Blue Lake and Granite lake is a left turn that is marked a ways after the second bridge crossing the original stream. For a real treat take a swim in granite lake(just past Blue Lake). On the far side is a rock which serves as a great plateform from which to plunge into the deep crystal clear water. It's better if the sun is out as the water is rather cold.
