A way to explore several high mountain lakes and the surrounding peaks. This trail, Trail 416, is one of the major entry points to the Bob Marshall Wilderness, so it gets heavy horse traffic. There are no boggy areas, though, so the trail is in great shape all the way. For the first mile, you’re on an old logging road converted to a trail. After that it’s mostly a gradual climb, broken up by a few switchbacks, that doesn’t seem as steep as it actually is.
