An extraordinarily scenic high plateau with a challenging trail to follow. This is unconditionally one of the most remarkable and unusual trails in the Beartooths. It doesn’t feature an endless string of lakes as do most trails here, but most hikers will be too usy enjoying the trip to notice. Only the midsection of this trail is actually within the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, but the entire trip seems exceptionally wild.
