One of the few easily accessible golden trout lakes in the Beartooths. The true beauty of Sylvan Lake lies beneath the surface. There swim the gorgeous, multicolored golden trout in abundance. Biologists call the Sylvan Lake golden trout population one of the purest in the Beartooths, and they use the lake as a source of fish to plant in other lakes. However, ven for the nonangler, this lake is worth the uphill trek.
