A ride to Windsor Jambs and a tour of the plateau forest. This ride takes you over packed-dirt forest roads and abandoned double-tracks that course through Windsor State Forest. The trip begins and ends at the Steep Bank Picnic Area on the banks of the Westfield River. This is a popular spot, and the parking area is large. Picnic tables and grills are spaced beneath the pines and a small ranger station is at the north end of the parking lot. Universally accessible rest rooms are available across the field and to the left of the ranger station at the edge of the parking area.
