My family and I have been hiking sections of the Midstate Trail for awhile now, trying to see if we can cover all of it eventually. Today we did about half of this section, starting at the Audubon society, hiking south. The Audubon portion of the hike is quite pretty, with interesting marshes and beaver-caused swamps. After this, the trail alternates between scenic rural streets and forest paths and roads. This portion was relatively flat and a fun easy hike. Bring mosquito repellant!
