This out-and-back hike traces a traverse along the shoulder of Hawks Mountain (1,880 feet) to an exposed cliff that offers gorgeous views of the Deerfield River Valley. If you want to do some extra exploring after this short hike, pick up a map at the park headquarters (on the north side of MA 2, 0.7 mile east of here) and walk along the gorgeous Thumper Mountain Trail and Nature Trail on the banks of the Deerfield River.
