Possibly the most beautiful views of any hike I've taken. I went up the Schoodic Head trail, across from the Blueberry Hill parking lot, and came down the Anvil trail. About a 2-3 hour hike, with awesome scenery both up and down. There is a lot of scrambling over rocks, and a few steep ascents/ descents, so wear good hiking shoes.
This trail is a gem! The short climb through shaded woods and a few steepish pitches pays off in a panoramic downeast view including the Petit Manan lighthouse spire off Dyer Neck. We took the East trail, which wastes no time ascending from the parking area across the street. The best.
You'll want good shoes, and don't let little kids run ahead, but there are some wonderful fews on this trail, as well as some fine mossy forest. (Aside: check out Bunker's Wharf restaurant on your way out of the Park; it's excellent).
