Rising from the wet and wooded depths of the ravine between Cadillac and Dorr Mountains to the spectacular views of the highest peak in Acadia, Gorge Path provides the starkest contrast between dark forest and open summit of all the trails up Cadillac. If you hike during the park’s busy season, you couldn’t find more of a difference between the tranquility of lower Gorge Path and the hubbub atop Cadillac. A major restoration effort in 2014 has brought the path back to its former glory, with some of the nest stonework anywhere in the Acadia trail system.
