This easy hike takes you along Acadia’s distinct pink-granite coastline, bringing you to Thunder Hole, where you may hear a reverberating boom as the surf crashes against the shore; Otter Cliff, where you may see rock climbers on the 60-foot precipice; and Otter Point, where you may catch a colorful sunset. The sounds of the ocean and the views of rocky cliff s and pink-granite shoreline are never far from Ocean Path. When the conditions are just right at Thunder Hole, halfway along the path, the surf crashes through rocky chasms with a thunderous roar. At Otter Point, at trail’s end, the sound of a buoy ringing fills the air.

Very easy flat trail meant for a leisurely stroll. Stunning views of the Otter cliffs and ocean front. Perfect for sunset/sunrise photography
