Purgatory Chasm is great place to check out. It is located off of rte.146 in Sutton MA. The chasm runs for a quarter of a mile between granite walls rising as high as 70 feet. Rock climbing is allowed with a permit that you can get at the park headquarters. The picnic area can get crouded in the summer but the trails are never too crowded.
