A refreshing, one-hour riverview walk only minutes from an interstate highway. Cruising the eastern flank of the Green Mountain State on I-91, most drivers catch only fleeting glimpses of the broad Connecticut River. Masked by hills and bits of forest flashing by at highway speeds, pastoral scenes along the tranquil river remain elusive though close at hand. For travelers who would like to stretch their legs, gain an overview of the valley, or simply relax on grassy banks that line the peaceful stream, Wilgus State Park conveniently waits only 1.5 miles from the highway.

Excellent steep short trail. Perfect for a quick workout after paddling or driving all day. 30-40 minutes long, decent views, a little leg burn, then relax by a campfire makes a perfect end to an outdoors day.
