West of the Blind Sucker River, the Lake Superior shoreline forms the gentlest of radiuses, a broad crescent of a bay. Seen from the low bluff above the beach, that coast, ever so slightly curving, is an eye-pleasing line as it stretches to a peninsula some 5 miles off.
