Bruno’s Run is a loop trail that has a pleasant rhythm about it. It goes like this walk a mile or so through fine forest. The terrain is sometimes rolling with hills, but it is not grueling. All the while scan for flashy pileated woodpeckers and other forest delights. Then arrive at a quiet lakeshore and enjoy loons, eagles, breezes, and broad vistas. Repeat the lake rhythm seven times. Ditto the forest part, and throw in an ancient hemlock cathedral for good measure.
