If you love wildflowers, Shaw Nature Reserve is the place to go. Its landscape blooms from spring to fall, showcasing its blossoms in a wide variety of habitats. A prehike walk through the Whitmire Wildflower Garden, where hundreds of flowers are identified in a condensed area, is a perfect way to learn what you’ll see while hiking Shaw’s wilder spaces.

I agree with the previous review. This is a rather urbanized hiking trail as most, if not all, of it is paved. It affords you a nice relaxing walk through the woods on a paved path. The nature center is probably better than the trail itself and is a great place for children to learn about wildlife. My son loves the place!

I found the trail rather boring myself but My 4 year old niece loved the place. This is the kind of place to take kids to, so they can learn about nature and wildlife.
