Nice trail, could have better access to the lake. It is very easy trail and very versatile you can do all of it or just a part and will be happy

Great trail - extremely well marked by Northwoods standards. As the previous reviewer stated, it would be nicer if the trails were a little closer to the lakes. There were a couple places where you could view the lakes, but not many. A good portion of the trail was moderately hilly.

The trail was very well marked with maps at major intersections. At this time of year, it was a bit buggy in spots. Also, we were a little disappointed in the limited views afforded by the trail of the lakes we were hiking around. That said, it was a great workout: lots of short up-and-down hills, the trail is well maintained and easy to follow. For a holiday weekend, the trail was not busy at all. Overall, Escanaba Lake Trail is a nice destinationn for a half-day hike. RCM
