For a compact natural area surrounded by freeways, Tamarack Nature Center offers a pleasant example of north woods diversity. The only thing missing at the Tamarack Nature Center—tamarack trees! Wildlife abounds and the setting takes you to the marshy alder bogs of northern Minnesota. While there are several alternate routes within this small park, this hike passes through the heart of the park and is probably the quietest path.
