While Prairie’s Edge describes the overall topography and terrain characteristics of this hiking area, Marsh’s Edge would seem a more appropriate name for the immediate and surrounding natural experience one gets from hiking this area. Although this is called a driving trail, there is much too much to observe along these 7.3 miles to chance missing any of it by driving, even at 5–7 mph. The entire marsh community is more easily viewed without the drone of a car’s engine or the grinding of tires over its gravel surface.
