This is primarily a horseback-riding park, but the trails are designated for horses and hikers. There is a separate bike trail, too. Both parallel the river. Start from the north end of the parking lot, and head to the left. This area has marshy lowlands, but soon the trail rises into stands of hardwoods and twists through oaks, basswoods, birches, and even some evergreens. Songbirds seem to be particularly active and vocal in this section, too.
