An easy walk along the floodplain forest in the valley of meandering prairie river, featuring overlooks of Cottonwood River. Flandrau State Park is one of the more urban hikes in the book, bordering the well laid-out city of New Ulm. Many visitors follow the paths leading to the pool or up the bluff to take in the sunset over the Cottonwood River, but a few other paths explore the lowlands alongside the river.
