A short hike on a floating boardwalk passing through a wide variety of wetlands, featuring wildflowers and carnivorous plants, as well as birds and other wildlife. The Bog Walk might be one of the easiest hikes in this book, yet it is diverse and interesting. The hike, all on a wide floating boardwalk, goes through six different wetland environments, all in a short 0.5-mile loop. It passes by a black ash swamp, tamarack forest, alder thicket, cattail marsh, lake, and black spruce bog. Probably the most popular section is the bog, where one can find carnivorous vegetation including the native pitcher plants.
