A walk in the northwoods within easy driving distance of major metropolitan areas in eastern Lower Michigan. The three trail loops in the Price Nature Center will appeal to many hikers. The mix of habitat attracts birds and wildlife, and the gentle nature of the trails makes this area an easy one-day outing. The forest contains beeches and maples that are 200 years old. All three trails share the same start point, but traverse different habitats. Special attractions: Beech and maple forests, birding opportunities.

A very good layout. Provides a short loop, a middle loop and a long loop. Relatively well-kept except for the Deer Run Trail near the edge of the property (very weedy and a bit overgrown). Showing some improvement of the property with footpath and boarding repairs. Does provide a great group campground area with a separate entrance for cars, but would be a great place to have a beginner's backpacking experience by hiking in from the trailhead. Very nice picnicking area.
