A hike through both natural and manmade habitats. This loop is a short excursion and an easy one, but is meant to be combined with the other trails in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore area to create a longer stay in this scenic portion of the Lower Peninsula. The trail makes a great diversion from the sandy loops nearer to the Lake Michigan shoreline and provides unique photo opportunities. Special attractions: Diversity, including human structures reclaimed by natural progression, stands of large trees, and birds and animals of all sizes.
