The refuge is an easy hour's drive northwest of the Mackinac Bridge. The primary purpose of the vast Seney National Wildlife Refuge is the management of wildlife and its habitat. But included in the plan to preserve the area is an idea of balanced use, and that includes a variety of wildlife-oriented recreational opportunities. The refuge offers several clearly defined trails and roadways that offer the hiker 70 miles of possible loops and linear hikes to all corners of the area. Special attractions: Wildlife viewing.
