I’m going to take you by the hand and lead you on a 5.5-mile loop trail that takes in the best of Panthertown Valley: waterfalls, granite cliffs, a rare Appalachian bog, a dense white pine forest, and a sea of some of the best ground cover around.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Panthertown wilderness and the scenery. I followed the trail guide with some embellishments, to make it a bit longer and to allow for some exploring, but i did stick to the main loop described as my base. This guide was very accurate, and easy to follow. I only saw one marked trail that had a yellow diamond. The area is not all that difficult to navigate if you can read a map. The scenery is fantastic, waterfalls, mountain vistas, and rich valley forests, wildflowers, and much more. I will be back.
