Of course, there’s a lot more to Cedar Point than mosquitoes and standing water. The Long Trail utilizes six boardwalks to hoist you over the especially wet areas and take you into an estuarine environment in the midst of dramatic change. Some of that change came literally overnight, a fact you learn not 10 feet down the trail where a sign rises out of the salt marsh cordgrass to warn that damage from hurricanes makes leaving the trail “dangerous due to dead trees. Stay safe by following the trail!”

Nice little trail for what it is. Wish it was longer. Took my daughter here for her first hike, she loved it.
