Escape the crowds along the shore of Lake Anna, the park’s main draw, by following this loop through mostly hardwood forest, past scenic rivulets, and alongside an inlet of the lake. Take the optional balloon spur, and you’ll cover 9 of the park’s 13 trail miles. Most are multiuse, so expect a trail scarred by horse hooves in wet spots.
