Cades Cove Nature Trail, which was located along Cades Cove Loop Road, is no longer an official park trail. In its place is Pine Oak Nature Trail, which is located near Cades Cove Campground. Although any hike is a good hike, the old nature trail wouldn’t make anyone’s short list for favorite hikes, so it’s not a big loss. Pine Oak Nature Trail offers a better hiking experience and makes a great outing for those staying at the campground.
