A short loop hike up one narrow finger ridge and then down another. Seneca State Forest is 11,684 acres of forestland located in the heart of Pocahontas County. The forest has more than 23 miles of trails and loops for beginners and even the most seasoned hiker. In addition to hiking, Seneca State Forest offers a host of other recreational opportunities, including bicycling, rowboat and canoe rentals, and fishing. Special attractions: A dry upland hardwood forest with a ground covering of blueberry and mountain laurel.
